Over the weekend I read this poem from Blessings for Mothers by Janice Powell.
For NowI awoke this morningAt three o'clockTo crying in my ears.I calmed my childTucked her inThen thought of all the yearsOf diaper changesNewborn criesFeedings in the nightAnd told myselfSomeday I'll sleepBut for now I'II hold her tight.
