Baby gal turns 2years tomorrow 7th January. It was just the other day we discovered we were pregnant and brought her home. Now she walks around with a very confident swagger, her back straight and head held high. I truly admire her confidence. Samara sits even with adults, she loves her cucus and guka and she tells them unending stories and very seriously. I pray that her self esteem will grow with her and that she will walk around knowing she is loved and very special to us. She is also extremely energetic and rarely sits down to rest unless she is watching her sing along dvds or engaged with something on the floor.
I also admire how baby gal loves to hug and kiss other children. She is very fond of Ethan her nephew who turns 1 today, just a day before her birthday. Tell you she kisses and hugs her cousin until we have to stop her. My prayer when she was born was that she would know and experience love and when I see her expressing it to other kids, I am thankful, though I wonder what will happen when she goes to school. Will I be called and told she is planting to many kisses on other kids? Samara is also very musical. She composes her own songs seriously...the first was for her dad and now she sings along to so many songs, runs around and I pray that she continues to be melodious.
Samara has been a source of strength to us. Even when unwell, she will never allow you to know the seriousness as she goes about her business. During the operation we were the worried ones, for her life was great and she was enjoying the chicken in Miot Hospitals and all the chocolate she was receiving. After the surgery, she was on her feet immediately and she moved on with her life. She got used to the temperature and vital checkups that once she saw the nurses she stretched out her finger or lifted her hand as she continued watching her videos.
Most of all she has taught me to know God, she has taught me that indeed as her parents we are just stewards and nothing more. The helplessness we felt as we handed her over to the surgeon and we could only turn to the Jesus she knows who loves her was very humbling. She has taught us that Jesus loves her and loves us too and that there is nothing too big for him to handle no disease, no financial issue nothing is too big or small for Him. Everyday we have seen him provide for her through many people and ways and indeed we believe that she belongs to God and is Protected of Him as her name means.
As a family, we look forward to celebrating her birthday tomorrow and to say thank you to God for teaching us so many lessons through our dear one. We truly thank God for you baby gal.Lots and loads of love.
