Treatment Estimation Letter for Baby Caleb Maina Gachahi Quote Baby Caleb Maina Gachahi is been admitted at Fortis Hospitals Bangalore, on 13.03.2102, IP No. 71632, in room number 646, and as advised by Dr. Mohammed Rehan Sayeed, the baby will need Coarctation of Aorta surgery and balloon dilatation of the mitral and aortic valves.


Without the receipt of the funds we will not be able to go ahead with the surgery and any extended stay at the hospital other the number of package days agreed will be an additional cost. Any extra day stay would be charged at USD 150 per day. The package includes the following
1) Pre-op investigations
2) Stay for patient and one companion for the number of days as per the above package
3) Surgery, consumables and surgeon's fee
4) Food for the patient and companion for the number of days as per the above package
5) Medicines (standard) for the number of days as per the above package - If any extra medicines are required which are not routinely used then it would be charged as per the actual.
6) Bedside procedures etc
7) Airport pick up and drop (To and from the Hospital).

NOTE - This quote is valid for 45 days and is subject to change on international currency fluctuations and other external cost factors. The package does not include treatment of any unrelated illness or procedures other than the one for which this estimate has been prepared. Also expenses for any additional hospital stay beyond the stipulated days as per the estimate shall be payable extra. The cost ranges provided are based upon our best understanding of the patient’s condition at the time of contact and more informed estimates can be provided once the patient has been thoroughly examined by the concerned physician at our treating institution.

Yaani Caleb is really a special boy we thank God for his life and know that He has a really bright future because too much is happening against his life and we declare victory in all of this.

My Journey with Caleb's Family

A friend requested me to share my story on the journey we walked with Caleb's family. So below is a very long blog on that over 1 month. Am not sure what is in store for us ahead but this far it has been God. After our experience with Atrial Septal Defect(ASD) through our daughter Samara, I felt within me a call to look for people to partner with regarding kids with heart issues. So In January this year, I checked the net and bumped into a local NGO. The organization basically deals with kids with heart defects from poor families. I thought it was a noble call and contacted the organization. They were fast to respond and I visited them alone and over the weekend on a Saturday with my family.
