Lovely Morning Drives

Our morning drives from home to school  have really been interactive. Baby gal does not keep quiet  until we drop her at school. On her seat, she will either be singing, talking to herself or most times engaging us in conversations. It is interesting to note that while we used to wonder how she will handle the early mornings and the traffic, its good to note that we share lovely morning drives daily. This morning , I wished I owned an aeroplane because since we moved house, Samara has noticed things in the outdoors more like aeroplanes and birds. Everyday in traffic, she points out at any plane that passes and when there is none she asks where they are and really desires to see one. She also notices the birds in the air, the flowers, the billboards, the colours. As we near her school, her daddy says a prayer for her and when I attempt she says "Mummy not you, its daddy", and I do not mind at all that He speaks into her life every morning as she goes about her day. Lovely Weekend

That was a busy but lovely lovely weekend. On Friday, we attended a graduation for a friend's brother and stayed on until late. Looking back, I think we have been friends for over 12 years..amazing how time flies but it was an honour to be there with Samara. Well, she kept me on my toes, she loves the outdoors, made friends with the chef and kept looking at the swimming pool and running outside. Saturday was nice, we were hosting our couple group for an outdoor BBQ and it went so well. For me, it is quite rare these days to get friends whom you can sit and share life experiences while your children play together and have a good time. The best part is that we allowed our house help to leave as usual and we all helped in the cooking and cleaning up. In fact I should say our husbands are the ones who did the cooking and again we count our blessings. It was great teamwork and at the end , we all helped clean up, the kids too and its one of those things you would do over and over again...

He Will Watch Over You

Verse:         Psalm 121:7 The Lord will keep you from all harm. He will watch over your life. - God is your protector and the preserver of your life. - We must rely on Him to do this for us. - Our help comes from God, in His own time and His own way. - We can remind ourselves of this, especially in difficult times. PRAYER:  Lord, I thank You that I can live securely knowing that You keep, preserve and watch over my life. I commit this new week into Your hands. Amen. Have a wonderful week. Not Too Big

Verse:             1 Samuel 17:37 David said: 'The Lord who saved me from the claws of the lion and the bear will save me from this giant!' - God is able to save us no matter how great the problem. - There is no problem too big or too small for God. - God has rescued you in the past and He will do it again. - Look to God, He is your safety and refuge! PRAYER: Lord, forgive me for allowing my challenge to overwhelm me. God, You are great and You will help me overcome! Amen. It's Thursday - Enjoy! Regards Pastor Andrew & Vanessa Roebert

Friendships

My greatest lesson over that long weekend was the value of true friendship. We were moving house on Friday and my left butt had been paining seriously since Wednesday. Thursday evening, I drove home early to pack and I couldn't leave the car literally. I had to sit in the car for a while for the pain to subside and then took forever to climb the stairs to our apartment on 3rd floor. When I got into the house , I lay on the seat and couldn't turn or move and that meant I could only sit there helpless. Anyways , Carol a friend had planned to come help pack and sleep over and she allowed me to just sit and watch them pack without wondering what's wrong with this pregnant woman. The day for moving she had a seminar and they changed place with another friend Angie who helped greatly. I only went down the stairs when everything had been loaded onto the car. My sister Ems and her family took picked baby gal very early on Friday morning and that relived us from the stress of shi...
